Doubling Up

Our next small group get together will be next Tuesday, October 4th. We'll plan on covering two chapters - Chapters 1 & 2 - to stay on track. Hopefully everyone has received a book or two. If not, let us know and we can get it to you.

Pastor Alex's small group is also going through the book by Francis Chan, Forgotten God. We will probably be sharing the DVD produced to go along with the book - gives Wes a break some times.

We will meet at the Cooper's house - 2949 Peaks Mill Drive, Lex, KY 40511 - and plan to start things at 6:30pm. We plan to eat first, probably soup, then discuss.

If you don't mind, it would be great to know if you're coming and if your kids will be coming. Typically, someone volunteers to watch the kids and we either want to have enough to watch the kids or not waste their time if there will be no children to watch!

Thanks to all and looking forward to seeing everyone all together again - its been awhile since the whole group has been able to attend.

Update: We ended up canceling our meeting for tonight as nobody could make it.

This Tuesday

 

We start a new book this Tuesday. Check out the video/link of Francis Chan's book Forgotten God. This book takes a look at the Holy Spirit - basics, what the Bible says, how this affects culture - and in the voice of Francis Chan, a great writer.

This Tuesday, we'll be meeting at our house (Wes and Morgan Cooper) at 2949 Peaks Mill Drive, in McConnell's Trace. As usual, we'll be starting at 6:30pm and there will be food! I'm planning a pasta casserole type dish - I reserve the right to change my mind.

Hope to see you all there - I think it's been a while since the whole group has been together all at once.
